The undoubted advantage of Szklarska Poręba and its surroundings are the two mountain ranges between which the city is situated. On one side, the Karkonosze, which delight with their beauty and majesty, at any time of the year, on the other, the Izera, which offer gentler terrain and other forms of activity. From the city center, you can walk to Łabski Peak, and from there it is close to Borówczane Skały or Śnieżne Kotły, and you can also conquer Szrenica, from which it is not far to the Trzy Świnki rocks and Hala Szrenicka. From the Izera side, it is worth visiting the Death Turn, going to the pyrite mine, then reaching the Wysoki Kamień peak and visiting the now inactive but delightful Stanisław quartz mine. Delving further, it is worth immersing yourself in the greenery on Jakuszyce, going to the Orle Shelter and then, admiring the local flora, walking to Chatka Górzystów.
