Places "out of the ordinary"
09 Maj 2022
There are places in our region that few tourists know about. They are often reached by those who are most persistent or who walk their own paths. In close proximity to the city centre are Sokole Oko, a rarely visited place with a river basin and dam, and Krucze Skały, which tourists usually admire from below. And it is the view of the rocks up close and from them over the Jizera range that is breathtaking.
On the way from the Huty settlement to Jakuszyce, deep in the forest, you will find the Granite Trail of 100 tons. This is the disused Wiciarka quarry, and there is a 4-foot monument carved in the rock. A recommendable place where silence, peace and birdsong will relax you. Going further in the direction of Jakuszyce, you will find a stone beach with a river basin. A place where, surrounded by greenery and the sound of water, you can "sink".
Deviating slightly from the trail to Łabski Szczyt, we will find Borówczane Skały. A secluded place with amazing rock massifs, where each successive one inspires awe. In Jakuszyce, if you follow the trail to Sheep Rocks, but do not climb it, you will reach a magical place - a water reservoir with a small bridge, where, amidst the sound of water, trees and a flowing stream, you can forget about the whole world.
