An unquestionable asset of Szklarska Poręba and its surroundings are the two mountain ranges between which the town is situated. On the one hand, the Karkonosze, which impress with their beauty and majesty at any time of the year, and on the other, the Jizera, which offer gentler terrain and other activities. From the town centre, you can walk to Labský Peak and from there it is not far to Bořebské Skály or Sněžné Kotel. You can also climb Szrenica, from where it is not far to Trzy Swinki Rocks and Hala Szrenicka. On the Jizera side, it is worth visiting the Death Bend, going to a pyrite mine, then climbing to the summit of Wysoki Kamień and visiting the now closed but delightful Stanisław quartz mine. Going further, it is worth immersing yourself in the greenery at Jakuszyce, going to the Orle Hostel and then, admiring the local flora, reaching the Mountain Lodge.
